Rivers State governorship aspirant of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, FARAH DAGOGO has sued the PDP over his alleged exclusion from the list of governorship aspirants in the state.
DAGOGO also included the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC as one of the defendants, in a motion on notice filed at the Federal High Court, Abuja, seeking an order of interlocutory injunction restraining over the PDP aspirants list.
The Bonny/Degema Federal Constituency lawmaker wants the court to restrain the PDP from using any list without his name on it to conduct the May 26 primary pending the hearing and determination of the substantive suit.
The federal lawmaker is also seeking an order restraining INEC from accepting any candidate who might emerge from the primary election conducted without his participation.
Six lawyers, B.A. ADEGBIE, M. DAYI, A.M. IDOGHOR, H. AMRURHOBO, DICKSON SOFIYEGHA and ERICA AKPOFURE, filed the action on behalf of DAGOGO.
