Gokana Local Government power outage

Written by on May 29, 2022

Residents of Gokana Local Government Area of Rivers State are crying out over the power outage which they say has lasted for more than one year.
A contributor to Eyewitness Report segment of our Daybreak Nigeria show, BARIDI GIADOM tabled the complaint.

GIADOM also appealed to the Local Government Chairman, CONFIDENCE DEKOR, and Governor NYESOM WIKE to come to their aid by fixing the power problem.

Other contributors urged Governor WIKE to order the filling of the potholes to ease movement of vehicles in the Old Port Harcourt Township.
Yet another caller lamented on the daily traffic jams from Eliozu up to Airforce Road, while frowning on how waste is dumped at Rumuodara.

Our correspondent gathered that there were repeated cases of vandalism of power installations at the Eleme Junction and Nonwa Tai axis, leading to the blackout in Gokana.
