Stakeholders of Ogoni Ethnic Nationality have scored Rivers State Governor, NYESOM WIKE, high on his impact in the socio-economic development of the region.
To this end, the Ogoni leaders say they will host Governor WIKE on the 15th of May.
This was the resolutions reached at the extraordinary stakeholders meeting organised by the Kagote Worldwide group, in Sapkenwa, headquarters of Tai Local Government Area.
In a remark, President of Kagote, EMMA DEEYAH said of WIKE’s projects in Ogoniland, including the Saakpenwa-Bori-Kono Road, has improved the life of residents of the four Ogoni-speaking Local Governments.
In a remark, the Chairman of the Reception Mobilization Committee and Commissioner for Agriculture, Doctor FRED KPAKOL said Ogoni people needed to turn out enmasse to show their gratitude to Governor WIKE.
Other Leaders of the area who also spoke with newsmen at the meeting included former Rivers South-East Senator, LEE MAEBA.
Our correspondent also reports that the meeting had in attendance various political leaders across party lines, religious leaders, CDC Chairman, youths leaders and women leaders across the LGA’S of the Ogoni.
