There are reports that Eritrean and Ethiopian soldiers have forcibly detained more than 500 young men and women from four camps for displaced people in the town of Shire in Tigray.
Sources including three aid workers and a doctor, citing witnesses’ accounts, told newsmen that the soldiers loaded hundreds of people onto trucks. The witnesses said several men were beaten with sticks, their phones and money seized.
