The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has disowned fake messages in circulation on social media inviting applicants for its purported recruitment examination scheduled to take place at undisclosed venues.

In a statement, the Director, Public Relations

of the NSCDC, OLUSOLA ODUMOSU described the invitation as fraudulent and malicious acts of some unscrupulous elements in their attempt to dupe unsuspecting Nigerians especially the youths.

The statement noted that the circulated information about NSCDC Recruitment Examination did not come from the security agency and advised the public to see it as scam alert.

It also noted that applicants should disregard the rumours of any recruitment examination, screening or selection process as it is a new trick adopted by criminal elements to defraud, kidnap and kill their unsuspecting victims.

The document added that the corps newly-appointed Commandant General, Doctor AHMED AUDI, would present a well-structured, transparent and credible template after studying the position of the recruitment exercise which was commenced by his predecessor.
