PRESIDENCY DEFENDS PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI’S MEDICAL TRIP TO LONDON.

The Presidency has defended PresidentMUHAMMADU BUHARI’S trip to the United Kingdom, stressing that it is not for medical tourism.
Presidential spokesperson, GARBA SHEHU, who featured a nationaltelevision programme, said the trip was because the president had maintained a relationship with his doctors in the UK for over 30 years.
Recall that the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, FEMI ADESINA,had confirmed thatBUHARI would leave the country yesterday for a “routine” medical trip to London.
ADESINA also said BUHARI is expected back in the country in the second week of April.
In 2017, the president spent over 150 days in the UK, treating an undisclosed ailment, while in May 2018, he returned to the UK for four days to see his doctor.
