WIKE TO HOLD SECURITY COUNCIL MEETING FOR CRISIS IN OYIGBO LOCAL AREA

Rivers State governor NYESOM WIKE says he would hold a security council meeting to review the situation in Oyigbo Local Area following alleged killing of civilians by Nigerian Army troops.
Governor WIKE who disclosed this in a televised programme, also revealed that the funds promised to the wives of killed police officers and army will be handed over to them today.
Meanwhile, some contributors to our Sunday current affairs programme, The Chatroom, have appealed to the governor to lift the curfew imposed on the area.
