PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI APOLOGISES TO SOUTH-SOUTH LEADERS FOR HIS ABSENCE AT SECURITY MEETING IN PORT HARCOURT

President MUHAMMADU BUHARI has apologized to South-South leaders for his absence at the South-South security meeting last Tuesday.
President BUHARI, who was represented by his Chief of Staff, IBRAHIM GAMBARI, tendered the apologies while speaking at Rivers State Government House Banquet Hall in Port Harcourt.
GAMBARI also told the delegation that the meeting was to maintain the cordial relationship with the region following an order by president that all states should be visited following the #ENDSARS protest in the country.
He further described the outcome as a big loss to the country.
In a remark, the Inspector General of Police, MUHAMMADU ADUMA said the agitation against police force started since 2015, adding that during the #ENDSARS protest about 54 government facilities were destroyed and 54 government warehouses were looted. In a contribution, the Director-General of Department of State Services, DSS, commended the South-South leaders for ensuring that normalcy returned during the EndSars protest.
