BISHOP OF SOKOTO CATHOLIC DIOCESE, MATTHEW HASSAN KUKAH, DISMISSES REPORTS THAT HE CALLED FOR COUP AGAINST BUHARI ADMINISTRATION

Bishop of Sokoto Catholic Diocese, MATTHEW HASSAN KUKAH, has dismissed reports that he called for a coup against BUHARI’S administration.

The clarification came as reactions and counter-reactions continue to trail his Christmas Day message, where he slammed the Buhari government for alleged incompetence and nepotism.

In a news conference in Sokoto, KUKAH urged Nigerians to get his accurate statement rather than relying on what he described as different lies being peddled about in his name. He emphasised that the message was based on his love for the country and had no political or hidden motive.
