Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike Makes Fresh Defence For Imposition of A 24-Hour Curfew in Oyigbo Local Government Area.

Rivers State Governor, NYESOM WIKE has made a fresh defence for the imposition of a 24-hour curfew in Oyigbo Local Government Area.
Governor WIKE made the clarification when the Rotary International District 9141 led by the District Governor, Virginia Major paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House in Port Harcourt.
WIKE said the curfew was imposed to avert communal crisis between the Igbos and the Hausas as a result of the hijack of the peaceful EndSARS protest by the proscribed Indigenous Peoples of Biafra(IPOB).
The Governor also said his administration was reviewing the curfew imposed in Oyigbo Local Government Area.
Earlier, the District Governor, Rotary International District 9141, VIRGINIA MAJOR said the Clubs in Rivers State are worthy partners of the Rivers State Government in providing people-friendly projects.
