Rivers State All-Progressives Congress, APC Governorship Aspirant in the 2023 elections, TONYE COLE, says he is running for governor because one good policy by somebody in government can impact tens of millions of people.
COLE, who was a guest on our current affairs programme, Real Talk, emphasized that Nigerians made a mistake of thinking that politics was not important.
The APC Governorship hopeful said he is vying for the office because he has the capacity to change the direction of the state.
The renowned entrepreneur, further said it is high time businessmen join politics because politics affects every decision of a business in one way or the other.
TONYE COLE also he came as a neutral person to reconcile the different camps in the party, adding that if senator MAGUNS ABE emerges as candidate of the party he will support him.
He further dismissed allegations of buying Rivers State Government-owned power plants at giveaway prices, noting that his company, Sahara Energy bought stakes in Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution PLC, PHED, Egbin power station and Ikeja Electric at market-driven rates.
