Rivers State Governor, NYESOM WIKE, has declared a night curfew in all the 23 local government areas of state between 10.00 p.m. to 6.00 a.m. from today Thursday 29th April until further notice.
Governor WIKE, in a statewide broadcast said the decision to impose the dusk-to-dawn curfew on the entire State was taken after an exhaustive deliberation by the State Security Council at the Government House, Port Harcourt.
The governor who said there are possibilities of further attacks across the State, noted that it has become important to take further necessary measures to secure the State and safeguard lives and property.
He urged everyone in the State to be vigilant and report any suspicious movement in their neighborhood to the security agencies.
Our state house correspondent reports that the night curfew declared on the land borders between 8.00 p.m. to 6.00 a.m. until further notice by Governor WIKE is still on progress.
