Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister AYMAN SAFADI has accused King ABDULLAH’S half-brother and former heir Prince HAMZA of working with foreign parties to destabilise the country.
SAFADI said Prince HAMZA had been under investigation for some time, while the military said it had issued a warning to the prince over actions targeting “security and stability.
Other reports indicate that Prince HAMZA is under house arrest, while several high-profile figures were also detained. In the meantime, HAMZA and his supporters said the rulers
were corrupt and place their interest above that ordinary Jordanians.
