PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI MAKES FRESH ATTEMPT TO END TALKS OF NIGERIA’S BREAKUP.

President Muhammadu Buhari has made a fresh attempt to quell talks of Nigeria’s breakup, restating his administration’s commitment to keeping the country as one.
President Buhari said this virtually while speaking at the 12th Bola Tinubu colloquium, noting that Nigerians must count the blessings following the civil war and shun talks of secession.
Buhari said Nigerians were stronger together than apart, noting that he fought for Nigeria’s unity during the 1967-1970 civil war and would not want a repeat of the unspeakable horrors of the conflict.
The president’s comment came amidst continued calls for Nigeria’s breakup from both the proponents of a Yoruba country and a Biafran government as well as other aggrieved citizens.
