HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY CONFIRMS JUSTICE, CHIBUZOR AMADI AS CHIEF JUDGE OF RIVERS STATE.

The Rivers State House of Assembly has confirmed Justice, CHIBUZOR AMADI for the appointment of the Chief Judge of the state.
This follows a letter from the Rivers State Governor, NYESOM WIKE requesting the house for confirmation of Justice CHIBUZOR AMADI for the State Chief Judge following the imminent retirement of the incumbent, Justice IYAYE LAMINKARA from service on the 25th of May.
The Majority Leader of the house, MARTIN AMAEWHULE, moved a motion for Justice CHIBUZOR AMADI to take a bow and leave following his laudable achievement in the judiciary system in the state and the country at large.
The motion was seconded by the Akuku-Toru Constituency 2 lawmaker, LOLO OPUENE.
The Speaker of the house, IKUINYI OWAJI-IBANI, however confirmed it by saying the judiciary was seen as the last hope of the common man as agreed in the resolution of the house to allow Justice CHIBUZOR AMADI to take a bow.
Our correspondent reports that the house adjourned sitting till 26 the of May.
