A Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt has fixed 22nd of February for hearing for a request for documents on the cost of construction of three flyovers in Port Harcourt and Obio Akpor Local Government.
Presiding Judge, Justice JAMES OMOTOSHO adjourned the matter brought by members of Rivers Anti-Corruption Network who dragged the Rivers State Government to court.
SEBASTIAN KPALAP and AROCHUKWU PAUL OGBONNA, who are plaintiffs in the suit, want the defendants, the State Government and the Accountant General, to make available documents on the cost of construction of some other past and ongoing projects.
The plaintiffs said this was in line with compliance with democratic tenets of Accountability to the citizenry.

Speaking to journalists outside the court, VICTOR NWEKE explained the reasons why his clients were in court.
Meanwhile, Rivers State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, ZACCHEUS ADANGOR who is the Counsel representing the defendants declined to speak to journalists on the matter.
