RIVERS STATE GOVERNOR NYESOM WIKE PRESENTS 2021 APPROPRIATION BILL OF OVER 448.66 BILLION NAIRA TO HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY.

Rivers State Governor NYESOM WIKE has presented the 2021 Appropriation Bill of over 448.66 billion Naira before the House of Assembly.
In a speech, Governor WIKE gave a breakdown of the budget in terms of recurrent and capital expenditure before the House which was presided over by the Speaker, IKUINYI-OWAJI IBANI.
WIKE emphasised that the recurrent expenditure of more than 142.76 billion naira represented 31.82 per cent of the budget.
The Governor also said over 305.89 billion naira was set aside as capital expenditure.
Governor WIKE also outlined some of the objectives of the fiscal estimate including creating viable economic platform and social investment schemes, affordable healthcare services and the rest.
The Rivers State Governor also highlighted the estimate which is more than 20 per cent that of year 2020, included more than six billion naira to stimulate economic growth.
